Friday the 13th: Cheating in a dead game?

The ways of cheating in Friday the 13th: The Game are numerous, starting with many animation cancels for both Jason and the counselors.

But for quite some time there has been a cheat going around that makes the counselor invincible. I don't know the official name of this cheat, I call it super cheat.

The counselor who uses it can't be killed in any way. If Jason slashes them, they take no damage. If Jason grabs them, they instantly get free from the grab.

Other counselors can't kill these cheating counselors by running them over with the car, they are immune to the car.

These counselors also move super fast. If you see counselor white circles moving fast on the map, there's your first clue that there are cheaters in the lobby.

There was this person showcasing this super cheat on Youtube and maybe some other places, I don't remember. Then later this person started selling this cheat.

That's right, the cheaters have bought this cheat, and anyone can buy it.

At first I saw this super cheat being used by some Twitch streamer. But lately I have run into these cheaters in my own lobbies twice. On the second time there were actually two of them.

All this cheating I have seen has been on PS5.

And of course the cheaters have the excuse that somehow it is right to cheat in a dead game.

Well, like I always say: Assholes will be assholes.

Here's a gameplay video showing some features of this super cheat.

There's one simple solution to cheaters: Refuse to play with them. If you encounter these cheaters while playing as Jason, don't bother trying to kill them, it's a waste of time. Leave the lobby. If no one plays with them they can't have their fun.

The end of Friday the 13th: The Game

Is there life after the death of Friday the 13th: The Game?

Personally I think the answer is no.

Just thinking about the date December 31, 2024 makes me wanna throw up. And panic. That is the day of death of this game. I'm not even sure if I want to live beyond that day. (Be careful what you wish for, it might come true)

Every day the end of Friday the 13th: The Game is getting nearer. Every special day is the last chance to play this game. Like Easter, coming up this month. Last chance to play as the Easter bunny Deb. Then never again. Not in this life.

This lamentation was brought about by the release date reveal of Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game. Made by the notorious Illfonic... Will the game be good? At this point I have lost all hope.

And I'm not talking about (just) Killer Klowns, I'm talking about all the asymmetrical horror multiplayer games. All of those have been horrible disappointments after F13 for me. Game after game horrible, boring and monotous gameplay games. Where by default the killers have the upper hand. No, you are not supposed to escape, preferably never. I say no thank you to these games.

I want fun, versatile gameplay, where the victims have a real fighting chance every match.

I will go down with this ship called F13.

I don't even dare to hope there will ever be a good substitute game.

For me with the end of Friday something a lot more dies than just the game itself.

After Friday is gone, what will I do or play on weekends, or weekend nights? What will I play while getting drunk on weekend nights? No other game can bring such joy and fun.

For me Friday the 13th: The Game will always be the love of my life.

So this Friday (pun intended), in honor of International Women's Day, I will play Friday. I just can't decide should I honor women by playing only as female counselors... or by playing only as speedo Chad?
